Here lives structured data about classical composers, performers, their works, and public domain recordings of their works. The data is modelled using a number of ontologies including the Music Ontology and the Similarity Ontology (sometimes called MuSim).

Try out our hot-rodded version of Snorql (that plays audio) at http://classical.catfishsmooth.net/snorql/. Best place to start is with some of the pre-fab queries linked on the left hand side.

You can also use the plain-old SPARQL endpoint at http://classical.catfishsmooth.net/sparql

The data was collected primarily from the Musopen and the Classical Music Navigator websites. Audio feature analysis was performed using Sonic-annotator.

This site uses Pubby and Snorql created by Richard Cyganiak and Chris Bizer. The triple store back end is 4Store by Steve Harris and Nick Lamb.

This data was aggregated and re-published by Kurt Jacobson while pursuing his PhD at the Centre for Digital Music as part of the OMRAS2 project.
